This story from Hebron has received too little play in the news media:

It all started with an illegal synagogue. Jewish settlers built the makeshift temple several years ago on land belonging to Shaykh Abu Haydar Jabbari, the leader of a powerful Arab clan. Five months ago, the Shaykh says, he caught wind of a rumored plot to destroy the synagogue.

Mohamed al-Fayed waited more than 10 years for the day in open court when he could lay out his theory of high-level conspiracy in the deaths of Princess Diana and his son Dodi, her lover when both died in a Paris car crash in August 1997.

Vice President Rice?

With Rice on the ticket, the GOP would have somebody to get enthusiastic about. The Secretary of State is immensely popular with Republicans. For a party that up to now has been clueless about how to run against either a woman or a person of color, Condoleezza Rice is pure political gold.
